From September 15th to 17th 2017, the Arabian horse returned to Rome - the eternal city, the city of echoes, the city of illusions and passions... After a two-year absence, the disarming beauty of the Capital has again become a scenario for the National Italian Championship that took place at Le Capannelle Hippodrome in a mild September atmosphere, quite a rather romantic prelude of the fall season. Our Team did not miss the appointment as it was another fundamental stage of the Italian-Al Shaqab Tour 2017. To welcome us there were the event’s organizers, managers and members of the “A.N.I.C.A. ASS. NAZ. IT. CAVALLO ARABO RAVERCE CHARGE” and of course many friends breeders, handlers, trainers and lovers of the Purebred Arabian Horse. The five appointed judges were: STOJANOWSKA ANNA (POL); BIALOBOK JERZY (POL); NEUBACHER MANFRED (AUT); EVERARS JOSY (BEL) and JADAAN BASIL (SIRIA). The Disciplinary Commission could rely on the competences of: Dott.Vet. MASCAGNA LAURA (ITA); GALLI GABRIELE (ITA) and ZERBINI SERENELLA (ITA). In their role of Ring Master: LUDI IVO (ITA) and CECCARONI ROBERTO (ITA). Anti-Doping Responsible: FEI’s Veterinary Doctor; moreover, A.N.I.C.A. took on all duties and activities related to the Secretariat- General, also dealing with quite a lot of nice musical selections that accompanied the event. Accredited photographers for this 2017 edition were: CARACCIOLO ANTONIO e TORAZZA FRANCESCA. Nearly 120 specimens entered the competition. The quality level on the Sunday Championship can be summed up in two words: pure joy! It was really exciting to stand around the ring with all those gorgeous Arabian horses and watch the prize-giving ceremony of new champions. In the Yearling Fillies category, gold medal winner NEMESI REGALIS (SA FAEZ SIMBAD x NASHIRA BY CHAWY NA) bred and owned by Re Pietro and presented by handler Paolo Capecci. Silver medal winner MC CHANEL BY DAVIDE (AG NOBEL DAVIDE x DANUBIA EL AZIZ) bred and owned by Cerveglione Mario and presented by handler Paolo Capecci. Bronze medal winner, PADME DI MAR (PSYRASIC x PRINCIPESSA DI MAR) bred and owned by Tre Stelle SAS Stables and presented by handler Giacomo Capacci. In the Yearling Colts category, gold medal winner TF ANDRUS (FADI AL SHAQAB x TF LADY ROYAL) bred and owned by TRIPODI FRANCESCO and presented by handler Giacomo Capacci. Silver medal winner, AG NOBEL DAVIDE (AJMAN MONISCIONE x SAHHARA EXCELSJA) bred and owned by AG Nobel Arabians and presented by handler Paolo Capecci. Bronze medal winner, ARDASHIR RG (TS APOLO x PSYCHES ANGEL) bred by Reina Giuseppe, owned by Reina Delfina and presented by handler Cristian Franceschina. The 2017 Italian Nationals in Rome were a great occasion of gathering and enjoying our beloved Arabian horses on a mild September weekend. The Championships were a great example of how a wonderful Arabian horse event can be also a chance to attract people and let them share joy and passion!
