Short presentation Under the visionary leadership of Chairman Mr. Faleh Al-Nasr, the Global Champions Arabians Tour unfolded its exhilarating chapter from March 6th to 8th at the stunning Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Muscat, Oman. This third stage of the highly anticipated 2025 season spotlighted exceptional Arabian horses’ magnificent grace and beauty amidst the breathtaking Hajar mountains and enchanting Omani coastline. Competitors fiercely contended for prestigious championship titles and essential points that would determine their standing in the overall Tour rankings, with an impressive prize fund exceeding €1,000,000 and an annual total that surpasses €24 million. The round was not just a competition; it was a jubilation of equestrian excellence and heritage at a global level. The Officials and the Media partners The GCAT event held in Muscat showcased some of the world’s finest Arabian horses and adhered to the established standards of previous rounds. The horses were evaluated on five critical criteria: type, head and neck, body, legs, and movement, by a distinguished international panel comprising Mr. Graham Smith from Australia, Mrs. Helen Hennekensvan Nes from Belgium, Mr. Abdel Raouf Abbas from Egypt, Mr. Marc Veray from France, Mr. Klaus G. Beste and Mr. Bur- chard Schröder from Germany, Mr. Tamas Rombauer from Hungary, Mr. Christian Moschini from Italy, Mr. Mohamed Machmoum from Morocco, Mr. Lucas Gozdzialski and Mrs. Alicja Poszepczyńska from Poland, Mrs. Renata Schibler and Mr. Urs Aeschbacher from Switzerland, Mrs. Emma Maxwell from the United Kingdom, Mr. Majed Abdullah Al Mehyawi from Saudi Arabia, and finally, Mrs. Antonia Torrandell Bautista from Spain. In a commendable demonstration of collaboration and integrity, four dedicated Disciplinary Commissioners upheld the tournament’s ethos: Dr Mohamed Mohsen from Egypt, Dr Jean-Bernard Kupaj from France, Mr Roberto Ceccaroni from Italy, and Mrs Barbara Pfistner from Switzerland. The event was expertly guided by Ringmasters Dr Mohammed Hammad from Egypt and Mr Jean Marc Dubois from France, leading to remarkable performances. The Show The show kicked off on March 6, 2025, at 16:30 Asia/Muscat and concluded on March 9, 2025, at 00:00 Asia/Muscat. The grand finals showcased remarkable champion horses, each honoured in special categories based on sex and age: In the prestigious YEARLING FILLIES CHAMPIONSHIP, the gold medal was claimed by the remarkable Aj Sindala (Ghaith Al Zobair x Aj Sajwa), proudly bred and owned by Ajman Stud of HH Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. The silver medal went to the elegant D Neeran (Exxalt x D Shihanah), a wonderful product of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. Finally, the bronze medal was awarded to the exquisite Athbah (Ghaith Al Zobair x Shamah Al Athba), bred by Al Athba Stud and owned by Al Thamer Stud. Excitement filled the arena as the JUNIOR FILLIES CHAMPIONSHIP showcased some of the finest Arabian horses in the world. The gold medal was claimed by the stunning Shahalel Al Shaqab, a shining star bred and owned by Al Shaqab (Member of Q.F.). Not to be overshadowed, the silver medal went to the magnificent Shahbrys Hvp, a proud offspring of Royal Asad x Rebecca Hvp. bred by Agropecuaria Vila Dos Pinheiros and owned by Turki Alothmas.The bronze medal was awarded to the spirited Aj Sajeel, a remarkable contender sired by Shanghai Ea and out of Aj Sephora, bred and owned by Ajman Stud, under the watchful eye of HH Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. In the SENIOR MARES CHAMPIONSHIP, the competition reached new heights. The gold medal winner, D Shihanahn, completely stole the show. This stunning mare, bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, displayed an unmatched combination of power and elegance that stole the hearts of all present. Next, in a closely contested battle, Al Aryam Banafsaj took home the silver medal, bred by Al Aryam Arabians and owned by Ajman Stud of Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. The bronze medalist was Rk Sadeem, by Magid Moniscione x Bv Especially Stivana, bred by Rashed Khaled Alanzan from Shazin Stud and owned by Ajman Stud of HH Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. The excitement was palpable at the YEARLING COLTS CHAMPIONSHIP, where the gold medal was claimed by the stunning Tashaar Al Shaqab, a powerful combination of Excalibur Ea and Mazaya Al Shaqab, proudly bred and owned by Al Shaqab, Member of Qatar Foundation. Not far behind, the silver medal went to the elegant Sharar Almanhal, an impressive offspring of M Munther and Shams Almanhal, bred by Fahed Salem Alzaabi and owned by SK Arabians. Rounding out the podium, the bronze medalist Aj Nayd, sired by Aj Mardan and out of Hdm Bella Ciao, captured hearts, bred and owned by Ajman Stud, representing HH Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi with pride. The energy continued to soar in the JUNIOR COLTS CHAMPIONSHIP, where the remarkable D Borkan, a creation of Fa El Rasheem and D Ajayeb, clinched the gold medal, proudly bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. The silver medal was awarded to the striking Azzaam Al Amal, a product of El Galal Baahir and Arabesca Scarlett Moon, bred by Al Amal Arabians and owned by Sheikh Mohammed Saoud Sultan S Al Qassimi. Not to be overlooked, D Hayel snagged the bronze, a strong competitor bred by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud and owned by Al Thamer Stud, thanks to the impressive lineage of D Shakhat and D Jawaher. Finally, the spotlight shone brightly on the SENIOR STALLIONS CHAMPIONSHIP, where the magnificent Berlin Mp, sired by S.m.a. Magic One and out of Baraka Mp, took home the gold. Bred by Mindy Peters and owned by Hleetan Qatar Stud, this stallion epitomizes excellence. The silver medal went to Amaar, a fine example of Rfi Farid’s prowess with Adiya, bred by Al Juman Stud and cherished by Almirqab Farm. And let’s not forget the bronze medalist Shareem Rc, a regal presence in the ring, bred and owned by the Royal Cavalry Oman, showcasing the admirable bloodlines of Fa El Raheem and Eks Shakira. Global Champions Arabians Tour Muscat 2025 A Few Ending Comments The Muscat stage of the Global Champions Arabians Tour wrapped up in spectacular fashion, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. As the sun set, the evening transformed into a vibrant celebration of Omani culture. An enchanting showcase of traditional music and dance captivated the crowd, immersing them in the rich heritage of the region. The highlight of the night came with the majestic entrance of Gold Senior Stallion Champion Berlin MP, parading elegantly beneath a dazzling canopy of golden lights, much to the delight of the audience. As the evening progressed, the sky erupted in a mesmerizing drone display above the serene Arabian Gulf, lighting up the night and marking the conclusion of this unforgettable chapter in the tour. Looking ahead, the competition is heating up! Shahalel Al Shaqab continues to shine at the top of the female rankings with an impressive 60 points, while Sharar Almanhal has seized the lead among the males with 54 points. Meanwhile, last year’s Best Handler, Paolo Capecci, has taken charge of the overall handler rankings with a remarkable total of 153 points, showcasing his exceptional skills throughout the competition. But the excitement doesn’t stop here. Next month, the Tour heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from the 9th to the 12th of April for the Europe and Middle East series at Jump Saudi. And for those across the ocean, get ready for the second stage of the Americas series, making its debut in sunny Miami Beach, USA from April 17th to 19th at 36th Street Park.
